Jardin des Plantes

Take a walk through France's (not just Paris!) main botanical garden. Historically named, Jardin des Plantes Médicinales for it’s original purpose in the 17th century, today, Jardin de Plantes houses a menagerie (zoo) and two museums. It was classified as a national historical landmark of France in 1993. (Pst. You need tickets for the zoo but one animal is open for the public to see, Wallabies!)

(If you happen to be in Paris on a really rainy day, head over to Musée de Cluny and take refuge inside instead)
