I'll be honest. It took me a long time to fall in love with the Wild Coast. I'd even go as far as to say, I didn't love it. I didn't love it until it was too late. Okay...lets backtrack.
He was brand new, white and pristine. He was trustworthy. He responded when we called for him. He even had that new car smell. He was Falcor, our trusty steed, our Hyundai i10 and we knew when we met him that many memories would be made, and we couldn’t wait!
Our trek from Cape Town through Chapman's Peak to Boulder Beach and up through the gorgeous wine country of Stellenbosch and Franshoek.
Cape Town is San Francisco... on steroids. You have different microclimates, the mountains and ocean surround you, the food culture is exploding, and wine country is a short drive away. There are so many similarities, with an added layer of dramatic flair.
Originally we were spending three nights at Wild Lubanzi, but given the situation and the fact that we woke up to sunshine (!!!), we made a break for it (and honestly, Brian wouldn't have lasted one more night with me if we had to stay. I 100% would have fed him to the goose). Finally!
